Newborn sessions are best held within the first 2 weeks of your baby’s life. I would recommend your baby being 5-12 days old at the time of  their session as they tend to be more flexible when posing and very sleepy throughout the entire session. Older babies can still be booked for newborn sessions. However, please be mindful that after 14 days old, they become more alert and unsettled when posing, while some babies also start developing colic and baby acne. 

 

It is advised to book your newborn session while still pregnant (after your 20-week scan) to secure your place. Schedule your session between day 5 and 12 after your due date. If your little one arrives much earlier or later than expected we can always reschedule. After your baby is born, I will ask you to contact me as soon as possible, so that we can confirm your session date. I will reserve a few days in the diary near to your session date to best accommodate your needs.

 

Your newborn baby session takes place in the relaxed and safe environment of my studio located in Flintshire, North Wales. This photography session can last for up to 4 hours with this timescale allowing enough time for baby feeding, nappy changing, cuddling and comforting required as well as photographing your precious baby. My aim is to provide you with an intimate and pleasant experience tailored specifically for you. During your session, you will have full access to my collection of newborn props (including wraps, outfits, bonnets, headbands, blankets, baskets and other accessories). However, although props are available at your disposal, their purpose is solely to enhance baby’s beauty and not overwhelm it. 

 

My photography style is meant to be minimal, simple and natural. Focusing only on your beautiful baby, my aim is to celebrate their life and show authentic connections between baby and family while still creating elegant and timeless images.
